The Cleveland Cavaliers have certainly had an interesting offseason to say the least.

LeBron JamesA left the team to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, but the organization did signA Kevin LoveA to a four-year contract extension. In addition, the Cavaliers hit the trade market on Monday and acquired former first round pickA Sam DekkerA from the Los Angeles Clippers. Following the trade, Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports reported that "a lack of maturity and focus regarding basketball" have hindered Dekker throughout his NBA career thus far and a change of scenery could be what the former Wisconsin Badger needs.

The Clippers executed the trade in order to create an open roster spot while also giving Dekker another opportunity for a fresh start.

During the 2017-18 season, the former No. 18 overall pick from the 2015 NBA Draft appeared in 73 games for the Clippers and put together averages of 4.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in just 12.1 minutes per game. Dekker also shotA 49.4 percent from the field during his time on the floor.A Since entering the NBA, Dekker has made 153 total appearances for the Clippers and the Houston Rockets and owns career averages 5.3 points to go along with 3.0 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game.
